Eligibility Criteria:

• Age Limit: Born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2008 (inclusive). The upper age limit on the date of enrollment is 21 years.
• Educational Qualifications:
  • Science Subjects:
    • 10+2/Equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, and English (50% aggregate, 50% in English) OR
    • Three-year Engineering Diploma (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, etc.) OR
    • Two-year Vocational Course with Physics & Maths (50% marks).
  • Other Than Science Subjects:
    • 10+2/Equivalent with any subject (50% aggregate, 50% in English) OR
    • Two-year Vocational Course (50% marks).

Mandatory Medical Standards:

• The Indian Air Force has outlined detailed medical standards that all candidates must meet to be eligible for the Agniveer Vayu post. Below are the key requirements:

  Height:

  • Male & Female candidates: Minimum height is 152 cms.
  • For candidates from North East or hilly regions (Uttarakhand), a minimum height of 147 cms is acceptable.
  • Candidates from Lakshadweep must have a minimum height of 150 cms.

  Chest:

  • Male Candidates: Must have a minimum chest circumference of 77 cms with a chest expansion of at least 05 cms.
  • Female Candidates: Must have a well-proportioned chest wall with a minimum chest expansion of 05 cms.

  Weight:

  • The weight should be proportional to height and age.

  Gynecological Examination (For Female Candidates):

  • The examination covers external genitalia, hernia orifices, perineum, stress urinary incontinence, or genital prolapse outside the introitus.

  Pregnancy (For Female Candidates):

  • Any female candidate found to be pregnant will be disqualified and her candidature will be rejected.

  Hearing:

  • Candidates must have normal hearing and should be able to hear a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.

  Dental:

  • Candidates must have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.

  General Health:

  • Candidates should have normal anatomy without loss of any appendages.
  • The candidate should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic medical or surgical disabilities, infections, or skin ailments.
  • Candidates must be physically and mentally fit to perform duties in all types of climates, terrains, and conditions.

  Body Tattoos:

  • Permanent body tattoos are not permitted.
  • Exceptions:
    • Tattoos on the inner face of the forearms (from elbow to wrist) and on the back (dorsal) part of the hands/reverse side of the palm may be allowed.
    • Tribals with tattoos as per the customs of their tribes may be considered.
    • Offensive, obscene, indecent, sexist, or racist tattoos are prohibited.
    Candidates with permanent tattoos will be required to submit two postcard-size photographs (close-up and distant view) along with details of the tattoo size and type.

• Year 1: Rs. 30,000 (In-hand: Rs. 21,000)
• Year 2: Rs. 33,000 (In-hand: Rs. 23,100)

• Year 4: Rs. 40,000 (In-hand: Rs. 28,000)

2. Other than Science Subjects

• Duration: 45 Minutes
• Syllabus: English (10+2 CBSE syllabus) and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA)

3. Both Science and Other than Science Subjects

• Duration: 85 Minutes
• Syllabus: Physics, Mathematics, and English (10+2 CBSE syllabus) along with Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA)

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

PFT-I

• 1.6 km Run:
• Male: Within 7 minutes
• Female: Within 8 minutes

PFT-II

Male Candidates:

• 10 Push-ups: 1 minute
• 10 Sit-ups: 1 minute
• 20 Squats: 1 minute

Female Candidates:

• 10 Sit-ups: 1 minute 30 seconds
• 15 Squats: 1 minute

Important Notes for Candidates:

Candidates should wear sports shoes and track pants.

Admit Card

Provisional Admit Cards will be sent to eligible candidates 48-72 hours before the exam via email.
