The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has announced the recruitment of 45 Assistant Engineer (Civil) positions for the year 2025. Interested and eligible candidates are invited to apply online through the official APSC website. The application window opens on April 15, 2025, and the last date to submit the application form is May 14, 2025.

    Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification : 

    Eligibility Criteria:

    • The candidate must be an lndian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of lndia and must be a permanent resident of Assam. 
    • As a domicile proof of the candidate, he/she must upload a copy of the valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam for educational purpose/Employment Exchange Registration Certificate will be treated as proof of residency.

    Education Qualification :

    • Candidate must possess a Bachelo/s Degree in Engineering/Technology in Civil Engineering (B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering) from an lndian or Foreign University recognized by Govt. OR Candidate must have passed (Part A & B) of AMIE (lndia) in Civil Engineering if he/she had enrolled in AMIE course on or before 31-05-2013. 
    • The Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering must be a Regular course. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering obtained through Distance mode of education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted. (Upload relevant all semester/ year mark sheet reflecting the subjects and the final pass certificate)

    Age : 

    The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2025. The upper age limit is relaxable : 

    • By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. upto 43 years. 
    • By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 41 years as per Govt. Notification No. ABP. 6/2016/51 dated Dispur the 2no September, 2020. 
    • For Ex-Servicemen, the maximum age shall be 50 years as on 01-01-2025 tor Unreserved category, relaxable further by 3 (Three) years for OBC/MOBC candidates and 5 (Five) years for SC/ST candidates. 
    • Persons with benchmark disability (PwBD) 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and UR Category of candidates as per Govt. Memorandum No. ABP 1441951121dated Dispur the 28th October, 2015

    Pay Scale:

    • Selected candidates will receive a pay scale of ₹30,000 to ₹1,10,000 per month.

    Application Fee:

    Under the Digital lndia initiative by Ministry of Electronics and lnformation Technology (MeitY), Government of lndia, APSC has decided to launch its Online Recruitment portal with the help of CSCSPV, a MeitY approved organization, which will charge a processing fee of Rs. 40.001 + 180/o tax = Rs,47.20/- from each candidate. The Application Fee is as per Govt, Notification No. FEG.3212016/8-A dated Dispur the 28tn October, 2016 communicated vide letter No.ABP,60/2014111 dated 2no February 2018 and Gazette Notification No. LGl.41 12024/43 dated 25tn October, 2024.

    How to Apply :

    1. Applicants are required to apply online through APSC's recruitment website, No other means/mode of application will be accepted and the Application will be summarily relected,

Applicants who have not registered yet, in Online Recruitment Portal of APSC are first required to go to the APSC's recruitment website https://apscrecruitment.in and register themselves by clicking on 'Reqister Here' link and complete the One Time Registration(OTR) process by providing basic details.     3. CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO REGISTER WITH VALID AND ACTIVE E-MAIL ADDRESS IN THE ONLINE APPLICATION. INTERVIEW SCHEDULE AND REQUIREMENTS WITH REGARD TO COPIES OF CERTIFCATES TO BE SUBMITTED IN RESPECT OF CLAIMS MADE IN THE ONLINE APPLICATION, WILL BE INTIMATED TO THE CANDIDATES THROUGH THE WEBSITE OF THE COMMISSION IN DUE COURSE OF TIME. 

    4. After creating an account, applicants need to login with the credentials. 

    5. After login, applicants need to provide One Time Registration details such as Personal lnformation, Educational Qualification, Work Experience, Photo (Min size-50 KB & Max size-200 KB and not older than 3 months) & Signature (Min size-50 KB & Max size-200 KB) and other required documents. Once these details are submitted, applicants will be able to download the One Time Registration details, Then applicants can click on Applicant Section => Apply Section link for application form submission. 

    6. The applicants are advised to read the eligibility criteria and other relevant details carefully before applying for the advertisement, Mandatory fields in the online form are marked with * (asterisk) sign.

    7. Candidates must submit the details of documents like Certificate No., lssue date, lssuing authority and upload the documents/certificates (whenever asked for) in support of the claims made by them in the Application Form like, Date of Birth, Experience, Qualification(s) etc, or any other information, in pdf file in such a way that the file size does not exceed 2 MB and is legible when a printout taken. For that purpose, the applicant may scan the documents/certificates in 200 dpi grey scale

    8. Pass certificate/ mark sheet of the degree furnished must clearly state the name of the candidate and degree awarded to him/her or subjects are specified as per Advertisement. 

    9. Document details submitted in the online application form will be verified at the time of Personal VivaVoce lnterview. 

    10. Applicant should carefully fill all the information as asked in the application form and click on the declarations checkbox to enable the 'Preview' button before final submission.

    Selection Process:

    The selection process will consist of a written examination followed by an interview. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the written test. The commission will notify the detailed selection procedure and exam dates in due course.
