Engineer D Role – Job Description

Education Qualification & Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering (or equivalent) with 4 years of experience in Electronics Engineering. 
• OR
•  M.E./M.Tech. in Electronics Engineering (or equivalent) with 2 years of experience in Electronics Engineering. 
• OR
• Ph.D. with research in core Electronics Engineering. FOR MUMBAI CENTRE (Post-2) B.E./B.Tech. in Metallurgical Engineering or Material Science Engineering (or equivalent) with 4 years of extensive experience in Crystal Growth and technology. 
• OR
•  M.E./M.Tech. in Metallurgical Engineering or Material Science Engineering (or equivalent) with 2 years of extensive experience in Crystal Growth and technology. 
• OR 
• Ph.D. with research experience in Crystal Growth, crystal orientation and characterization. The candidate should have proven experience growing single crystals using various growth methods. Knowledge of crystal orientation and cutting is mandatory. The candidate should also be able to set up a crystal growth facility. 

Experience:

• Candidates with 5–10 years of relevant experience in research or technical support roles are preferred.

• Exposure to working in national labs, academic institutions, or R&D centers is an added advantage.

 Salary Structure

While the specific pay matrix level is not disclosed in the job brief, Engineer D roles in Indian government scientific institutions typically align with Level 11 or Level 12 under the 7th Pay Commission, including:

General Instructions :

1. The applicants must apply online at https://csr.res.in/ on or before the last date and submit the printout of the application form along with self-attested copies of required documents to the following address: - Recruitment Cell, UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research, University Campus, Khandwa Road, Indore – 452001, India Institute will not be responsible for any postal delay or application lost in transit. 

2. The applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.1000/- through SBI Collect and include the transaction ID/UTR number at the online application portal. Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD communities are not required to pay any application fee. Applicants who applied against our Advertisement No. 01-2024, may use the same ID/UTR number at the online application portal. They must however apply afresh and also submit the hardcopy of their present application. 

3. Candidates are advised to fill their correct and active e-mail addresses in the online application as all correspondence will be made by the Institute through e-mail only. 

4. The applicant must ensure his/her eligibility for the post in respect of Age, Qualification, Experience, Specialization, and other requisite criteria as prescribed and only then should apply. 

5. All the details furnished in the online application will be treated as final and no changes shall be entertained. The responsibility of making correct entries in the application form lies with the applicant. 6. Institute strives to have a workforce, which reflects a gender balance; women candidates are therefore encouraged to apply. 

7. The age limit and qualification/experience etc. for the post as on the last date of submission of online application form shall only be considered. 

8. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification. 

9. No interim correspondence shall be entertained. 

10. Selected candidate can be posted to any Centre or Node of the Consortium. 

11. The positions reserved for specially abled persons (OH, VI, HH) for which the particulars post(s) has been reserved, the candidate of other categories of specially abled persons may also submit their application. In case of non-availability/suitability of the applicant of certain category of advertised post(s) may be filled up by the suitable applicant belongs to other categories of disabilities. 

12. Persons employed in Government/Semi Government Organizations/Autonomous Bodies should forward their application through proper channel and submit a “No Objection Certificate (NOC)” with vigilance clearance from the present employer. If the candidate is unable to attach a NOC and a Vigilance Clearance due to shortage of time, they will have to provide an undertaking stating that the NOC and Vigilance Clearance from the present employer will be provided during the written test/ interview. They should also state in the undertaking that if they are unable to provide a NOC and Vigilance Clearance at the time of written test/ interview, their candidature will be rejected and application fee will not be refunded.
